Hello everyone! I wanted to make you all aware of this course being offered that starts on July 12th - please see details below. What makes this course so unique is that it is only 1 hour per week for 5 weeks, and the cost is only $75 for the entire course. Bob, the gentleman who was kind enough to put this together, has a wealth of experience and is very much trying to help local business owners as much as he can given our current environment. I actually know of a few people in Bend who have worked with him and they maintain that he was a big part of their success. I hope you will at least consider this course, as there are seemingly few opportunities to do so for a $75 commitment. I personally think his decision to do so demonstrates a clear intention of helping others, when so many of these seminars can cost a fortune in exchange for a minimal benefit. We believe that there is more to life than, getting an education, getting a job, and hoping that a 401K, Social Security, and equity in your home will make up for all that is lost by adhering to a petrified idea.
God gave you a set of talents at conception that when skills are added they become Strengths. Yet, so many of us, including yours truly, got stuck in a rut and never really gave the talents a thought. We are paid for skills that we have learned; that will never match the value of a Talent turned into Strength.
A recent Gallup Poll asked a number of questions, to 2,000,000 people in 60 different countries. One of the many questions asked was –how much of your work day is devoted to working within your talent zone? The answer was-only 20% of their day was devoted to their talent zone.
Is there any wonder that people dislike going to work on Monday, say they are over the hump on Wednesday, and Thank God It’s Friday? If you are only devoting 20% of your day doing what is your Talent/Strength; is there any wonder so many people report that their job negatively affects their marriage and family life?
